Kemer sits about 45 km southwest of Antalya Airport, where the pine-covered Taurus Mountains run right down to the water. The coastline here is mostly pebble rather than sand, backed by a proper working marina full of yachts and gulet boats.
It's the most mountainous of the region's resort towns, and the most active — the Tahtalı cable car climbs to over 2,300m for a Mediterranean view, and the ancient sites of Phaselis and Olympos are both a short drive away.
